What AMID Aims to Change?
AMID (Advanced Mobile Imaging system for real-time Diagnostics and planning) is a cloud-based software platform that converts medical images directly into clinically usable planning outputs, such as anatomical delineations and radiotherapy treatment plans.
The objective is to shorten the time between image acquisition and treatment planning while maintaining transparency, safety, and clinician control and increasing focus time on the patient.

Radiotherapy was selected as the initial application domain because it combines high clinical risk with complex, time sensitive workflows and strong dependence on medical imaging.
It provides a demanding and realistic environment for developing integrated, image-driven planning systems that can later be adapted to other medical domains.

AMID is a research and innovation project. It is not a certified medical product and does not replace clinical responsibility.
Any future clinical use or commercialisation will require separate regulatory approval and validation in accordance with medical device regulations.

AMID is a European research and innovation project focused on software based approaches for medical image processing and radiotherapy treatment planning. The project is developed within the IPCEI Health framework.
