AMID — advanced radiotherapy development with Slovenian and EU support

On Monday, 10th August 2026, we at Cosylab signed a contract with the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Sport (MGDŠ) for the AMID project within the European IPCEI initiative — Tech4Cure. We are proud that the EU and MGDŠ, which promotes domestic innovation and the technical excellence of companies, have recognised AMID’s potential! Slovenia is already part of the European technological elite, and our project confirms this once again.

What is AMID?
The Advanced Mobile Imaging system for real-time Diagnostics and planning is a cloud-based software platform that uses artificial intelligence to convert radiological images directly into radiotherapy treatment plans. Image analysis, contouring, dose calculation, and therapy planning are completed in minutes rather than days.

For the patient, this means:

✅ A faster path from diagnosis to cancer treatment.
✅ Less waiting between diagnosis and treatment when every day counts.
✅ Access to advanced radiotherapy even in remote and underserved regions, as the platform runs in the cloud.

For radiotherapy clinics, AMID means significantly higher efficiency and relief for staff. It acts as an intelligent tool that automatically suggests treatment plans and hands them over for approval to clinical experts, who can adapt them at every step.
